[Consulting Case] Listed Manufacturer <Manufacturing Industry>

We will introduce examples of study sessions held on industry-specific risks, related laws and regulations, and general insurance types!

We would like to introduce a consulting case involving a publicly listed manufacturer that has been dealing with a single insurance company for many years. Upon examining the applicable standard insurance policy and special provisions, it was found that the initial settings had not been reviewed, resulting in coverage that was not effective as a risk mitigation strategy for the company. In response, we held study sessions on industry-specific risks, relevant laws and regulations, and general insurance types. We supported changes to the contract terms to ensure that the insurance policy served as an effective risk mitigation strategy, allowing the company to secure the necessary insurance payouts. [Case Overview] ■ Issues - Upon reviewing the applicable standard insurance policy and special provisions, it was determined that the coverage was not effective as a risk mitigation strategy for the company. ■ Solutions - We supported changes to the contract terms to ensure that the insurance policy served as an effective risk mitigation strategy, allowing the company to secure the necessary insurance payouts. *For more details, please refer to the related links or feel free to contact us.

[Consulting Case] Manufacturing Companies Expanding Overseas

A case that explains the necessity of separating overseas local subsidiaries from Japanese securities and arranging insurance locally!

We would like to introduce a consulting case for manufacturing companies that have expanded overseas, with overseas sales accounting for more than 60% of total sales. Initially, the insurance company explained that "all global risks can be covered by Japanese-issued securities," and at the insurance company's insistence, overseas local subsidiaries were listed as additional insured parties within the Japanese securities. Therefore, we held a study session for the company's personnel to communicate the precautions for arranging insurance overseas and the procedures in case of an accident, and we provided support for advancing insurance contracts for overseas local subsidiaries. 【Case Summary】 ■Issues - Listing overseas local subsidiaries as additional insured parties within Japanese securities (this violates local insurance regulations, but the insurance company provided no explanation regarding this). ■Solutions - Held a study session to communicate precautions for arranging insurance overseas and procedures in case of an accident. - Provided support for advancing insurance contracts for overseas local subsidiaries. *For more details, please refer to the related links or feel free to contact us.

[Consulting Case] Service Industry

We will introduce an example of proposing a transition to insurance design content that should be covered as a publicly listed company!

We would like to introduce a consulting case for a publicly listed company with its headquarters in a regional city and bases across Japan. As a result of securities analysis, it was found that the insurance coverage was not comparable to that of large companies with branches nationwide. It also became clear that the insurance company's representatives were inexperienced in proposing to large companies such as publicly listed firms. Therefore, after thoroughly interviewing the practical teams about the commercial and logistics flows, we conducted multiple study sessions for the insurance department. Based on the current situation revealed during the interviews, we proposed a transition to the insurance design content that should be covered as a publicly listed company. [Case Summary] ■ Issues - The insurance coverage was not comparable to that of large companies with branches nationwide. - The insurance company's representatives were inexperienced in proposals to large companies such as publicly listed firms. ■ Solutions - Conducted multiple study sessions for the insurance department. - Proposed a transition to the insurance design content that should be covered as a publicly listed company. *For more details, please refer to the related links or feel free to contact us.
